3 killed as lorry turns turtle
Three persons died on the spot and another two were injured when a lorry overturned on the outskirts of Akupamula village of Munagala Mandal in the early hours of Saturday. The deceased were identified as Narla Kondaswamy (40), Shaik Saida (36) and Ganugukonda Kondalraju of Revuru village of Mellacheruvu Mandal and working as labour.
Nalgonda: Three persons died on the spot and another two were injured when a lorry overturned on the outskirts of Akupamula village of Munagala Mandal in the early hours of Saturday. The deceased were identified as Narla Kondaswamy (40), Shaik Saida (36) and Ganugukonda Kondalraju of Revuru village of Mellacheruvu Mandal and working as labour.
Venkata Narsaiah of Kappalakunta tanda and Mariyadas (driver) of Nandigama were injured. A tiles-laden lorry, bound to Vijayawada from Hyderabad, lost control and turned turtle near Akupamula Gangamma temple. The deceased were sitting on top of the tiles when the mishap occurred. Another passenger, Bhukya Venkata Ramdas jumped from the top and survived with minor injuries.
Immediately after getting information, Munagala police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Kodad hospital. A case was registered and the investigation is on.
