Homage paid to Hazrat Ali

Hyderabad: Telangana State Legislative Council chairman Swamy Goud paid homage to Hazrat Ali, called as Moula Ali by the Shia community on the occasion of his 1469th birth anniversary, celebrated here last evening.
Speaking at a seminar held at Kotla Ali Jah in Old City by the Seerat Zehra Committee, he said that the city of Hyderabad, named after Hazrat Ali was the cradle of love and peace and an icon of national integration.
The teachings of Ali were still a light house for the humanity. A grand procession, led by Ali Raza, President of the Society, was taken out from Kotla Ali Jah in Old City to Moula Ali in Ranga Reddy district.
Accompanied by camels, horses, motor cars and motor bikes, the procession passed through the main thoroughfares of the Hyderabad and Secunderabad and reached Moula Ali amidst welcome at various places by the devotees.
