Khammam: Minister for Industries and IT K Tarakarama Rao (KTR) on Saturday accused Andhra Pradesh (AP) Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy of indulging in political games for supremacy in their State.

KTR spoke to the media during his election campaign for the Palair by-poll in the company of TRS candidate Tummala Nageswara Rao. The minister launched into a tirade against Naidu and Jagan for their objection to the irrigation projects in Telangana.

“They are politicising our projects for their political supremacy instead of addressing the woes and problems of the people of AP,” said KTR. Stating that YSRCP leaders who joined the TRS will get their fair due in the TRS scheme of things, he said the TRS government was keen on completing the schemes pertaining to ‘drinking water’ and ‘revival of lakes’, at the earliest.

“Comments of Andhra leaders cannot deter our plans to irrigate about six lakh acres in the district through Godavari waters”, vowed KTR.

He exuded confidence that very soon, the TRS government would be able to complete those projects which the previous governments could not do in six decades and further said that the Palair reservoir will be connected to the Sitarama Project to stabilize the crops in four mandals.
