A month-long campaign would be organised from May 26 to highlight the ‘achievements’ of the Central government among people, Dattatreya told reporters here.

Hyderabad: With the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government set to complete two years in office at the end of this month, Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya on Sunday said the developmental works undertaken by the Centre would create ‘history’ and alleged that the Congress and the Left were unable to digest its ‘development agenda’.
The NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi would complete two years in office on May 26. A month-long campaign would be organised from May 26 to highlight the ‘achievements’ of the Central government among people, Dattatreya told reporters here.
“We are going to celebrate this as a two-year festival and it will focus only on what we did. Previous governments used to promise more. But, what works we did that only we will take to the people,” the Union Minister said. He said the Jan Dhan Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojna were the milestones of the present government. “In every department - health, education, infrastructure and rural - this government has created milestones. We will go to people and explain to them the achievements and works done by this government,” he said.
“The developmental works done by Narendra Modiji are going to create history and that’s why our political rivals, particularly the Congress and the Left are unable to digest and have been trying to divert this developmental agenda,” the Minister alleged. Dattatreya also alleged that both the Congress and the Left were unable to digest the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and wanted to damage his image. “They have halted GST in Rajya Sabha. If they are really sincere, they could have discussed and they given more suggestions.
But they created only disruptions. However, people will realise with our positive campaign,” he said. “Now we have laid down a strong foundation for speedy developmental works with policy decisions,” the Minister added.
