Buddha Jayanti celebrated in Sagar
Tourism Minister A Chandulal stated the government was committed to developing Nagarjuna Sagar in all aspects to attract both domestic and international tourists to bring the global identity to the State. He participated as the chief guest in the Buddha Jayanti celebrations held at Buddha Vanam in Nagarjuna Sagar on Thursday.
Nalgonda: Tourism Minister A Chandulal stated the government was committed to developing Nagarjuna Sagar in all aspects to attract both domestic and international tourists to bring the global identity to the State. He participated as the chief guest in the Buddha Jayanti celebrations held at Buddha Vanam in Nagarjuna Sagar on Thursday.
He garlanded the Buddha statue and performed special prayer with Buddha monks. Later addressing the gathering, the Minister said the government will spend Rs 25 crores to develop Buddha Vanam and all the pending works would be completed within three months. The entry fee to the Buddha Vanam is only Rs 5.
Major Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, district Minister Jagadish Reddy, Nalgonda District Collector P Satyanarayana Reddy, MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy, ZP Chairman Balunayak, Special Officer Mallepally Lakshmaiah, MLC Karne Prabhakar, Joint Collector Satyanarayana, ZP vice-chairman Karnati Linga Reddy and RDO Kishan Rao have participated in the programme.
