​Hyderabad: IT Minister K T Rama Rao signed two MoUs with digital healthcare company Eclat Health Solution for $15 million investments and employment for 1,000 on the first day of his two-week visit to the United States.

The minister met Illinois State Deputy Governor Trey Childress and prevailed upon him for investments in Telangana. The minister gave a presentation about the Telangana government’s initiatives in the state, including IT policy, and how it proposes to make Telangana the most preferred destination for investments. He said the investment opportunities in the Pharma and IT sector were high.

Appreciating the policies of the Telangana government, Childress said they were eager to partner with Telangana in the Innovation sector. Stating that he had heard about T-hub set up by the Telangana government, he said there were many firms in Illinois showing keen interest in investing in the sector. He said that there was a special relation of Chicago city with Telangana, especially with Hyderabad.

KTR also met Indian Consul-General Ausaf Sayeed. Later, the minister met the investors and other NRIs. He also met Abaris Capital Advisors’ president Omer Ahmed, Genesis Pharmaceuticals chairman Monif Matouk, Safye Holdings CEO Afi Hasan.

The minister who called on Indianapolis Governor Mike Pens participated in a meeting of Indianapolis-Hyderabad sister cities committee and informed about the development works of Telangana government. He said that soon Hyderabad Mayor would visit Indianapolis. Around 500 NRIs attended the meeting.
