Complete corridor III by 2017: HMRL MD
Hyderabad Metro Rail Managing Director N V S Reddy on Wednesday directed officials and engineers of HMRL and L&TMRHL to complete the construction of entire corridor-III up to Hitec City by early next year.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro Rail Managing Director N V S Reddy on Wednesday directed officials and engineers of HMRL and L&TMRHL to complete the construction of entire corridor-III up to Hitec City by early next year.
Reddy along with L&TMRHL MD Shivanand Nimbargi inspected Metro Rail corridor-III works from Country Club at Begumpet to Hitec City.
He directed the Town Planning officers of HMRL to remove encroachments at Begumpet Road overbridge (RoB) adjacent to Begumpet Railway station.
Metro foundation and pillar works in front of White House, Mebaz building, Wakf property in Begumpet and Greenlands junction should be completed quickly by L&TMRHL. The remaining affected portion of Rehmat complex at Ameerpet junction should be demolished to facilitate progress of viaduct works towards Ameerpet junction.
L&TMRHL was asked to come up with a revised scheme to expedite Ameerpet interchange station works and make a presentation to the MD within a week along with a traffic management plan.
Demolition of affected properties in Yousufguda should be expedited and the damaged roads should be re-carpeted before the onset of monsoon.
Owners of Transstroy building were instructed to vacate the building latest by May end wherein the demolition of the building would be started from June 1.
Similarly, the MD held discussions with the affected property owners in Madhuranagar, Krishnanagar and Jubilee Hills road number 5 and sought their cooperation in expediting Metro Rail viaduct and station works in these areas.
