Hans lensman gets award
The Hans India photographer G Shyam Kumar has won district level Best photographer award, presented by the State government marking the Telangana Formation Day celebrations. He received the award, memento and cash prize of Rs 25, 558 during the formation day celebrations at police parade grounds in Hanamkonda on Thursday.
Warangal: The Hans India photographer G Shyam Kumar has won district level ‘Best photographer’ award, presented by the State government marking the Telangana Formation Day celebrations. He received the award, memento and cash prize of Rs 25, 558 during the formation day celebrations at police parade grounds in Hanamkonda on Thursday.
He won the state level first prize in 2015 World Photography Day AP-TS photography competitions conducted by The New Indian Express. Similarly Shyam Kumar won state level consolation prize in 2009 from AP government, state second prize in 2011 in World Photography Day competition, Medaram Jatara consolation prize in 2012, Biodiversity Conference state level consolation prize and Medaram Jatara special jury award in 2014.
Speaking on the occasion he thanked the encouragement extended to him by The Hans India editor K Nageshwar and the management. The editor and the management congratulated Shyam Kumar on his achievement.
