Heavy rains disrupted the normal life in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad on Friday evening. Heavy rains in some parts of the city were preceded by strong winds.
Hyderabad: Heavy rains disrupted the normal life in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad on Friday evening. Heavy rains in some parts of the city were preceded by strong winds.
Water logging, traffic jams and power failure were reported from several areas. Power supply was badly affected in almost all parts of the Old City.
There was no power for several hours in several areas, including Masab Tank, Lakdikapul, Panjaguttta, Ameerpet, Srinagar Colony, SR Nagar, Erragadda, Sanathnagar, Nacharam, Kapra, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Raidurgam and Shaikpet.
Traffic snarls were reported from Lakdikapul, Khairatabad X-Road, Somajiguda, Punjagutta, SR Nagar, Uppal, Ramathapur, Kukatpally, Afzalgunj, Secunderabad, Mehdipatnam, Masab Tank and almost all other major roads.
