Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner CV Anand on Monday launched five Clues Team vehicles that would function in the five zones of the Police Commissionerate.

The aim of the Clues Team vehicles is to reach the crime scene in lesser time to prevent damage of physical evidence and also help the on-duty officer in the investigation. “The clues teams will prevent wastage of time and help in collecting the physical evidence before it is damaged,” Commissioner Anand said.

He said each Clues Team consists of two constables, two Home Guards and two drivers. The teams have undergone special training at State Forensic Sciences Laboratory in various divisions for preservation, gathering and shifting of various material objects like biological, serological, toxic, ballistic, physical and documentary evidence collected in various crime scenes to the lab, the Commissioner said.
