Devotees throng Gayathrimata temple 

Birkoor (Nizamabad): A large number of devotees, especially women performed special poojas and offered special prayers in the Gayathri temple in the mandal headquarters in the district on Friday.

They distributed red vermillion powder (Kumkuma). Later, a homam was also performed.

In the afternoon, free food was distributed as Prasad to the teeming devotees. Serpentine queues were witnessed in the temple premises.
