Warangal: The execution of a warrant issued by second additional senior civil judge for attaching ‘moveable property’ at District Collector’s office has been deferred.

It might be noted that the warrant (execution of a decree of money) was issued by the court to cover the decretal amount of Rs 2,06, 281.08, including principal amount of Rs 1, 02, 870.38, interest and others in connection with a petition filed by English Language Teachers Association (ELTA) 10 years ago.

In 2006, the ELTA had organised English language training programme to 435 government teachers for 12 days.

The District Primary Education Programme (DPEP) officials, under whose aegis the programme was conducted, denied paying the amount.

Then the petition was filed by the ELTA former president Bathini Komuraiah seeking reimbursement of expenses incurred.

The matter was referred to the court of district principal judge and then to the High Court.

Finally in February 2016, the respondents, the District Collector who chairs the DPEP and others were given a time of four weeks to reimburse the amount.

As the respondents failed to respond duly in paying the money, the warrant of attachment of moveable property was issued.

On Wednesday, the petitioner Komuraiah, T Narender, advocate representing his case, and bailiff Md Sattar have arrived at the Collector’s chambers where the property to be attached was present.

The district administration then sought some time to pay the decretal amount and appealed not to attach the property.

Following which an agreement was signed between the petitioner and the respondents in the presence of government pleader Someshwar Rao.

According to the petitioner Komuraiah, District Collector V Karuna has directed Additional Joint Collector S Tirupathi Rao to see that the amount due to the petitioner should be paid within three to four days of time.
