Warangal: Kakatiya University Non-gazetted Officers’ Association and Class IV Employees Association leaders have staged protest for the second day here on Thursday, demanding that the authorities address their pending service matters.

They squatted for some time inside the Registrar’s chamber during the day in support of a charter of 31-demands.

As the Registrar didn’t turn up, they met the in-charge Registrar Prof G Benerjee at Zoology department at KU campus and submitted a memorandum.

For the past four months, the university in-charge Vice-Chancellor T Chiranjeevulu, concerned government officials and the Registrar have been dodging to address genuine demands of the NGOs and employees, they complained.

They wanted release of stalled orders related to assistant registrar promotions, full basic pay for the month of April-May to non-teaching staff, immediate granting of benefits to retired employees and steps to appoint vacant posts of different cadres were among their demands.

NGO Association leaders M Narayana and P Ashok Babu, Class IV Employees Association leaders A Narsimha Murthy and Ch Prabhakar said many employees and officials of the university were retiring without getting promoted to higher posts despite having
eligibility.
