“The Minister for Irrigation is in fact enjoying the fruits of Jalayagnam which was launched during the tenure of Congress government in the united Andhra Pradesh,” he said. He urged the government to allocate Rs 200 crore and complete the Dummugudem project, which was almost nearing completion during the Congress regime. “If Dummugudem project is completed, two lakh acres will be brought under irrigation immediately,” he said.

The TRS government was worried about the welfare of contractors and not the welfare of its people, he claimed.
