Nizamabad Industrial Training Institute adjudged best in India

Nizamabad: The Industrial Training Institute (ITI), a vocational Girls College at Shivajinagar in the town has been selected as the best college at the country by the Ministry of Skill Development and Enterpreneurship ( MSDE) and the Principal of the College Rammohan Rao was chosen as the best Principal on the occasion of the World Skills Day on July 15 as the institute began to flourish a lot after he took over. He received the Award from the Union Minister for Skill Development and Enterpreneurship.

The college is embedded with modern infrastructure facilities and with highly qualified teaching staff imparting education. It has well-equipped laboratories.
The ITI College began imparting technical training to the students in the manufacture of textiles, electronic and mechanical goods, tailoring and embroidery. In the year 2011, it was selected under the Public-Private Partnership and in the next year, it also got ISO 9990 certification.
After PPP, there was a tremendous transformation in the college. In 2009, the eight-room college became a 27-rooms college. Each !TI college in the country was sanctioned Rs 2.50 crore and there were 32 ITI colleges in Telangana State but Nizamabad ITI college made the best use of the funds released.
The college management also saved a lot of power consumption and amount of Rs 8,000 every month by setting up solar power plant in the college. In order to provide jobs to hundreds of students who graduate every year from the college, the college authorities have entered into an MoU with 20 private organizations. They were also given training in stitching clothes and in working beauty parlors.
They are also getting lot of job opportunities in the field of electronics and studestns bagged several offers in job melas and campus placements drive.
Speaking to The Hans India here on Friday, ITI College Principal expressed his happiness and said that the students of this college have a very bright future. He said that the college was plagued by several problems but he could relvoe them amicably.
A student of the electronics and mechanics course Kavitha said that she joined the course as former students got good jobs. After completing the course, they would be getting offers in Railways and aeronautical and aerospace fields, she added.
Pallavi, who teachers stenography in the ITI college said that there were tremendous job opportunities for those who were trained as stenographers in offices. Durgabhavani who teachers tailoring said that those having interest in tailoring could complete the tailoring course and become faculty members in ITI colleges to teach tailoring and embroidery.
