Eamcet-2 leakage: Cong asks Dy CM, Health Minister to quit.
The district Congress leaders have demanded the Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari and Health Minister C Laxma Reddy to quit their posts immediately taking moral responsibility for the Eamcet-II paper leak.
Warangal: The district Congress leaders have demanded the Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari and Health Minister C Laxma Reddy to quit their posts immediately taking moral responsibility for the Eamcet-II paper leak.
Congress and its student wing NSUI workers, led by the district president N Rajender Reddy, have staged a dharna at Hanamkonda Chowrasttha protesting over leakage of Eamcet-II question paper.
The State government acting negligently has thrown the lives of the students into doldrums, he said.
The TSCHE, Deputy CM and Health Minister, who denied leakage of question paper, have changed their stand after newspaper reports provided evidence. Due to the irresponsibility of the government, the students were forced to bear the brunt, he added.
City Congress leaders R Srihari, K Srinivas Rao, former MLA K Sridhar, Youth Congress leader M Lingagni, senior leaders E Venkatram Reddy, EV Srinivas Rao and others have wore black ribbons and shouted slogans against the government.
Rankers and parents stage dharna at Ekasila Park. Meanwhile, a large number of Eamcet-II top rankers have staged a protest demonstration during morning hours at Ekasila Park against the question paper leakage.
Several parents and students have expressed anguish when they came to know the news of cancelling the medical entrance test during the evening.
“Why the innocent students are being punished for someone else’s fault. The students have already lost their patience by appearing for the test twice.
Now again they are compelled to write the test. It is very bad,” lamented a parent called P Anand, whose daughter P Harika secured 1400 rank.
The pain was more for the students, who got better ranks in the test. B Sravani, who got 81 rank, K Lahari-171 rank, R Aashrita-72 rank and A Sucharita, who secured 84 rank in Eamcet-II. “What is our mistake? Why this punishment to us?” they grieved.
‘For two long years we did hard work, appeared for the entrance and secured good ranks. The government has not cared for our emotions and feelings. Now we are not able to take another entrance test,’ they lamented.
CPI wants KCR to speak on the issue
CPI state secretary Ch Venkat Reddy has demanded Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to quit silence and speak on Eamcet-II question paper leakage. It was wrong to cancel the test. Those involved in the issue should be punished but not all the students.
