Hyderabad: Alleging that the government’s negligence was the reason for EAMCET-2 question paper leak, Telangana JAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Friday demanded that the government recommend a CBI inquiry in to the issue and take action against the convener of the examination.

Addressing a press conference at the JAC office, Kodandaram said that the Ministers concerned were also responsible for the paper leak. “Whether they resign or not is left to their conscience,” he said and demanded the government for a CBI inquiry.

Take stern action against all the people responsible for the leak, he said. He termed the EAMCET-2 leakage as unfortunate and felt that cancellation of the examination would further dampen the spirit of the students.

The JAC Chairman wanted the government not to cancel the examination as it would leave thousands of students who wrote the examination nervous and dejected. He said that the incident was due to the lack of proper supervision and maintenance at higher level.

“Students will lose confidence in the examinations being conducted by the government if such incidents take place. Lack of control over corporate institutions is a major reason for such leaks,” he said.

Reacting sharply on the allegations of ‘Telangana drohulu’ in JAC, Kodandaram said that the people who have betrayed Telangana might be in the Cabinet but there was no such person in TJAC.

He said that the JAC did not have alliance with any of the political parties on the Mallannasagar issue and added that JAC would go alone. The government should think on humanitarian grounds regarding the Mallannasagar issue, Kodandaram said.

He said that the mistake committed in the appointment of Vice-Chancellors should not be done in irrigation projects. The government should make the detailed project reports (DPRs) pertaining to the project public.

JAC coordinator P Ravinder said that the TJAC would organise a workshop on ‘Education and Employment Opportunities’ on August 4.
