Nizamabad: District Collector Yogitha Rana instructed the mandal level officers to take steps and protect the plants that were planted under the Haritha Haram programme. Addressing the officials through a video conference here on Wednesday, she told the collectors that fencing arrangements have to be made around the saplings and an action plan has to chalked out for this purpose.

She said that through micro-planning, each family should be entrusted with the tasks of protecting 800 plants and such families should be identified. She said that the target of planting 40 lakh saplings in each constituency should be completed.

She also scrutinised the attendance register and warned the officials present that stringent action would be initiated against them if they fail to discharge their duties.

She told them to fix targets and complete their works on time by making the necessary arrangements. DWMA in-charge project director Sunanda, Vigilance Officer Srihari and others were present.
