Warangal: CPI national secretary K Narayana has demanded the State government distribution of the lands illegally owned by slain gangster Nayeemuddin among the landless poor.

He called upon the CPI cadre to erect the party flags and construct huts on Nayeemuddin’s lands. ‘This has to be done right now. Wherever you find a land encroached by the gangster, occupy it and raise a hut,’ he told the party workers.

Speaking to press persons in Hanamkonda on Saturday, Narayana wanted the government to order judicial enquiry by a sitting judge to probe into the dealings of the gangster. Every detail pertaining his illegal acts and his relationship with prominent persons has to be produced before the court ‘as it is’.

The encounter of Nayeemuddin and the underground operations that were being uncovered have proved to be a blot on the system of policing in the State. The gangster was nurtured as a ‘favourite offspring’ of the successive governments.

‘The governments have employed Nayeemuddin to execute civil rights activists and naxals. His episode has clearly displayed the evil consequences that could come up if any dacoit and murderer was encouraged by the rulers,’ the CPI leader explained.

He questioned the TRS government as why it failed to arrest Naeem so far, though two years passed since it came to power. ‘As the gangster threatened the ruling party leaders, the government decided to eliminate him,’ he alleged.

Narayana likened the State government with Nayeemuddin, saying “There is not much difference between the gangster and the TRS regime, which was forcibly acquiring lands from farmers for Mallannasagar project”.

It has become a practice for the TRS to brand those, who questioned the government failures as anti-Telangana. ‘They branded me and TJAC leader Prof M Kodandaram as Telangana traitors just because opposing the government policies,’ he lamented.

Narayana informed that the CPI has called for a country-wide agitation on August 17 in protest against the economic policies of Modi government and to control skyrocketing prices. The party extends its support to the general strike called on September 2, protesting against the allowing FDI in public sector units.

AP and Telangana Chief Ministers N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrashekar Rao were praising Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in pursuit of their secret agenda, while neglecting the interests of the respective states, the CPI leader alleged. The party district secretary T Srinivasa Rao, leaders P Saraiah, B Vijayasaradhi, M Ravi, S Karunkar and others were present.
