Nizamabad: District Collector Dr Yogitha Rana urged the officials concerned to maintain and ensure quality in the works relating construction activities for improving the infrastructure facilities in the district.

What kind of message are we sending to the future citizens, she wondered.

The District Collector said that keeping in view the health of the school children, the State government was releasing funds worth Rs 1.20 crore for renovating toilets in 116 government schools. She said that she was releasing the amount from the Crucial Balance Fund account.

Similarly, running water would be provided for the convenience of the students, she added. She said that the responsibility of taking up the works would be entrusted to the gram samakhyas Training would be imparted to the members of the gram samakhyas for the purpose, she added. She told the engineers to prepare work estimates to the gram samakhyas and headmasters.
