Rangareddy: Telangana State School Education Department director G Kishan has said the State and Central governments have taken a
decision to prepare a new Education Policy to bring complete changes in education system.

Taking part as a chief guest in a two-day conference on ‘Plan of Education and Governance’, organised jointly by the State Council of
Educational Research and Training, Hyderabad and National University of Educational Planning and Administration,
New Delhi, Kishan called upon everyone to strive to overcome the hurdles and discuss several issues related to quality education.

Suggesting the participants to concentrate on percentage of enrollment in government schools, Kishan asked the teachers to take the
responsibility of students’ future and identify necessary steps to ensure quality in government schools as most of the parents were
looking towards private education.

"Though the percentage of enrollment of students increased in government schools this year, it dropped after some time," he lamented.

Prof Kumar Suresh of the National University of Educational Planning and Administration has informed that the Central government
introduced new education policy, which provides quality education and sees that students get a suitable employment by giving needful
training. “As part of it, the Central government is conducting training camps in all States to prepare new policies, the Prof said.

State Council of Educational Research and Training, Hyderabad director S Jagannatha Reddy, State School Books director V Sudhakar,
State Open School director Venkateshwar Sharma, Departmental Examinations director Surender Reddy, Audio-Video Education director
Radha Reddy, Vayojana Vidya director A Sathyanarayana Reddy, New Delhi National University of Education and Public Administration
officer Vineetha, District Education Officers (DEOs) from various districts, Deputy DEOs and others participated in the conference.
