Hyderabad: State BJP president K Laxman on Wednesday called upon the party workers to strive to bring the party to power in the State by 2019 and expose the failures of the TRS government.

Addressing the State executive meeting of the party held here on Wednesday, he said that the Central leadership was showing keen interest on growth of the party in the State and was constantly guiding them.

He said as part of this exercise, it had sent organisational secretary Shivprakashji for the executive meeting.
He said that the organisational secretary would meet the district, mandal and polling booth level party leaders and review their performance during the next three days.

The party has selected seven southern States, including Telangana, to strengthen it organisationally before the next elections, he said.

Laxman asked the party leaders to be with the people and also explain to them about the assistance the Centre was giving to the State in terms of funds for various programmes like Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Re 1-a-kg rice, pensions, etc. He said that the Centre was providing a subsidy of Rs 27 per kg in the ration rice.

The BJP leader alleged that the TRS government had failed to release input subsidy to the farmers even after the Centre had given Rs 791 crore for the purpose. He said the TRS government diverted these funds for other purposes.
