Osmania University has invited applications from eligible candidates to register for Ph D programme in the faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Science, Commerce, Law Management, Education, Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Informatics and Oriental Languages for the academic year 2013-14.

​Hyderabad: Osmania University has invited applications from eligible candidates to register for Ph D programme in the faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Science, Commerce, Law Management, Education, Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Informatics and Oriental Languages for the academic year 2013-14.

In the first category, the candidates who have been awarded a Research Fellowship in a national level test such as UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/ICMR/ICAR/DBT/INSPIRE Fellowship and Teacher Fellowship, applicants with ICSSR/RGNF/MANF/NIN-JRF/IICT-JRF or SRF awarded by national level bodies/institutes having qualified in NET/SET-TS/AP/PhD eligibility test conducted by Osmania University during January, 2015, are eligible to apply.

Candidates with ICSSR/RGNF/MANF/NIN-JRNIICT-JRF or SRF awarded by national level bodies/institutes who do not have any eligibility test qualification are also admitted directly to Ph D, subject to the condition that they must clear NET/SET-TS/AP/Ph D eligibility test within two years from the date of admission to the Ph D programme.

In the second category, candidates with NET/SET-TS/AP/JEST/GATE/GPAT/M Phil (through regular mode from Osmania University) or Ph D in allied subject or who qualified in the Ph D eligibility test conducted by OU during January, 2015, as per UGC Ph D regulations, 2009, are eligible. The prescribed application form, along with the Ph D rules and regulations, can be downloaded from the university website,www.osmania.ac.in.

Filled-in application form, along with all the requisite enclosures and DD for Rs 200 towards registration fee drawn in favour of the Dean of the Faculty concerned payable at Hyderabad, should be submitted on any working day in the Office of the Dean concerned between 11 am and 4 pm on or before November 16. No application shall be entertained after the last date.

Those who have applied earlier against Notification No 555/Ph D/2016/Acad dated May 31 2016 need not apply. However, if they wish to add any information to the existing application they may do so, according to a university release.
