Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to meet the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely and Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting M Venkaiah Naidu and other Ministers to explain the kind of problems the State government was facing following the demonetisation and would seek special Central assistance.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to meet the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely and Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting M Venkaiah Naidu and other Ministers to explain the kind of problems the State government was facing following the demonetisation and would seek special Central assistance.

KCR would be going to Delhi to attend the marriage reception of the daughter of Union Minister for Roads and Buildings Nitin Gadkari to be held on Thursday. The Chief Minister is scheduled to leave for Delhi on Wednesday. During his stay, KCR will meet the Union Ministers and apprise them of the problems being faced by the State.

Sources said that he would explain to Jaitely in detail the financial crisis staring at the State and seek special Central assistance. He would also take up the issue of pending railway projects, release of funds for irrigation schemes and health programmes with the Ministers concerned.
