Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Wednesday addressed the convergence of schemes in Telangana Assembly. Stating that the government is planning to introduce Anganwadi centres in primary schools to enable their children to have primary education and play school, the Minister said that their enrolment in high schools would be easier.

He said that the government is positive towards the proposal and discussions on the same would be held between State Education Department and Women and Child Welfare Departments.

While the Deputy CM expressed doubt on the release of funds as both the departments are funded by Central Government, he however, added that if things progress accordingly, the proposal will be implemented in the 2017-18 academic year.
