Harish directs officials to speed up NH road works
Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao on Saturday directed the officials of the Roads and Buildings Department to complete land acquisition for the speedy completion of national highway projects sanctioned in Medak, Sangareddy and Siddipet districts.
​Hyderabad: Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao on Saturday directed the officials of the Roads and Buildings Department to complete land acquisition for the speedy completion of national highway projects sanctioned in Medak, Sangareddy and Siddipet districts.
The Minister accompanied by Road and Buildings Minister T Nageswara Rao held a review on the progress in the land acquisition for road projects.
State Assembly Deputy Speaker Padma Devendar Reddy expressed unhappiness over the delay in executing many road works in her own constituency.
Taking serious note of it, the Minister warned the officials of stringent action if anyone was found to be indulging in dereliction of duty.
Harish Rao directed the officials to set a deadline for every road work and complete them. He also asked them to prepare proposals to link the national highways with outer ring roads in the district head quarters.
The Minister also reviewed progress in the land acquisition for Kaleswaram lift project and instructed the Collectors and engineers to complete the process and ensure early completion of the works.
