Committee to present reporton SC/ST Sub-plan

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Monday said the committee constituted to recommend amendments to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes sub- plan would submit its report to the government during the budget session of the State assembly.
Speaking to the media after a meeting of the committee, Srihari said they would hold two more rounds of meeting on February 4 and 10 and the report would be finalised thereafter. He said there was a need to make some changes to the existing rules for the uplift of SCs and STs. They should also be legally tenable, he said.
