Hyderabad: The State government has taken up a big task of studying the strength of employees in all government departments and the requirement of human resources for smooth run of the State administration in future.

Top officials told The Hans India, that on the instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, a questionnaire consisting of about 40 questions has been circulated to all the employees.

The questionnaire seeks details like their date of joining the service, promotions, deputations, children and their study, properties owned, health problems if any, and their expertise in any field. All the details of the employees would be utilised to ascertain their socio–economic status.

Besides, the data would be used to send excess staff to other departments on deputation and fill the vacancies if required in the coming years to strengthen the administration from village to Secretariat level.

This decision was taken as Chandrashekar Rao, during a meeting on budget preparations, found that there was mismatch in the list of number of employees given by various departments and in many cases there was duplication of names.

Officials said that all employees should obtain applications from their respective department heads, fill them and submit them by third week of February.
