Hyderabad: Air Vice Marshal Radhakrishnan Radhish has assumed command of the College of Air Warfare at Secunderabad. According to a Defence release issued here today, Radhish, who assumed command of the College of Air Warfare on March 7, was commissioned as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force on June 14, 1985.

A Fighter Strike Leader and an Instrument Rating instructor and Examiner, he has over 2,400 hours of flying experience on a number of fighter aircraft. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla and the Royal College of Defence Studies, UK. His command assignments include the command of a fighter squadron, a radar unit and an operational fighter base, it added.

Radhish was awarded Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) and Vayusena Medal (VM) for his distinguished service of an exceptional order. Prior to his appointment as Commandant College of Air Warfare, he was the Principal Director Personnel Officers-1 at Air Headquarters in New Delhi, said the release.
