The Mayuri Eco-Tourism zone, which is fast transforming into one of Telangana’s largest urban landscaping gardens, is witnessing new additions from time to time to attract the attention of inquisitive tourist in Mahbubnagar district.
Mahbubnagar: The Mayuri Eco-Tourism zone, which is fast transforming into one of Telangana’s largest urban landscaping gardens, is witnessing new additions from time to time to attract the attention of inquisitive tourist in Mahbubnagar district.
As part of this, District Collector Ronald Rose, Principal Chief Conservator P K Jha and Mahbubnagar MLA Srinivas Goud, inaugurated two new additions of ‘Adventure Tourism’ and Butterfly Children’s park in the 200 acre ecotourism zone on Saturday.
While inaugurating the new additions in the park, Srinivas Goud said the State government had sanctioned Rs 1,800 crore for taking up various development works and improvement in tourism sector in the district. The development of Mayuri Eco Tourism Park has become reality only because of support extended by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
“The Mayuri eco-Tourism zone is being developed into one of the largest urban landscapes in the entire Telangana state. So far we have conducted more than 100 review meetings with the officials and continuously monitoring the development works in the park. All efforts are on to ensure that the works in the park are completed as early as possible. Our main focus is on providing basic amenities and facilities to the visiting tourists,” said the MLA.
So far the authorities had completed only 10 per cent of works, while remaining 90 per cent of works is still under various stages of completion. “We have asked the officials to plan appropriately, so that the works can be completed on time without any delay.
This park will have all kinds of amenities on par with parks in Hyderabad. We will provide 30 bicycles to students and will also put in place battery run vehicles for elders to help them take an easy trip inside the park,” added Srinivas goud. According to Srinivas Goud, the State government had released adequate funds for taking up of various development works in the district.
Particularly, for improving tourism sector he said there is no dearth of funds. At present, the Pedda Cheru in the district is developed into a ‘Mini Tank Bund’ and a boating facility is also installed at the lake. Similarly, the Knowledge Center and Fish aquarium museum at Pillalamarri are also other attractions for the tourists in the district.
Among all, the Mayuri Eco Park will be the best attractions with adventure sports, children’s park, water sports, yoga center, four and eight kilometer walking tracks and ‘Nakshatra Vanams’ along with various theme parks and gardens all across the 200 acres. In addition to this, children will have ample number of play items for them to enjoy the serene greens of the Mayuri eco zone.
To make it a frequent visiting spot for the children, the MLA said that all school managements in coordination with the district education officer are planning to prepare a circular to ensure the students visit the Mayuri Park as part of the knowledge trek tourism.
Later the MLA distributed cheques of Rs. 40,000, Rs. 26,000 to Golla Naganna and Narayana Reddy respectively who lost their cattle and sheep in leopard attack. Similarly cheques of Rs. 4,000 each were distributed to Tukaram, Tirupataiah and Krishnaiah to compensate their loss due to wild animals.
