Besides giving 500 gift packets, each mosque was offered Rs1 lakh for hosting Iftar party across the State. In all districts,Ministers, leaders and officials concerned participated in the event and distributed clothes among poor Muslim people.

Hyderabad: To mark the holy Ramzan festival, the Telangana RashtraSamithi (TRS)government distributed clothes to poor Muslims across the State on Friday. Besides giving 500 gift packets, each mosque was offered Rs1 lakh for hosting Iftar party across the State. In all districts,Ministers, leaders and officials concerned participated in the event and distributed clothes among poor Muslim people.

As directed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the programme of cloths distribution was taken up on a massive scale. The Ministers and leaders handed over gift packets comprising two pairs of clothes on the occasion. About 800 mosques were spruced up on the occasion. The officials made arrangements for distributing at least 500 gift packets at each masjid. Minister for Energy G Jagdish Reddy participated in the programme and distributed 6,500 gift packets to poor Muslims.

In Medak district, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy distributed cloths among the poor Muslims. At Manuguru in BhadradriKothagudem district, MLA PayamVenkateshwarlu distributed gift packets and in Wanapartydistrict, State Planning Commission Vice President Singhi Reddy Niranjan Reddy distributed the gifts. Similarly, MLA Sanjeeva Rao distributed gift packets at MPDO office in Vikarabad. In Mahbubabad district, MLA BanothShankerNayak distributed clothes at Kesamuddam, NelliKuduru andGudurmandals.
