BJP accuses KTR of blackmailing media
BJP senior leader N. Indrasena Reddy on Friday accused Industries Minister K. Tarakarama Rao of blackmailing media in Telangana State.
Hyderabad: BJP senior leader N. Indrasena Reddy on Friday accused Industries Minister K. Tarakarama Rao of blackmailing media in Telangana State.
Addressing a press conference here, Indrasena Reddy strongly condemned KTR's statement wherein he accused a section of media of resorting to "paid journalism" to tarnish the image of State Government while reporting the alleged land scam.
He said KTR's remarks were highly derogatory in nature and therefore, should be condemned by everyone. He said if TRS Government was completely clean, then why was it afraid of ordering a CBI enquiry into the alleged scam.
The BJP leader said government lands worth nearly Rs. 1 lakh crore have been encroached upon by private parties. He alleged that leaders of both TRS and Congress were involved in the encroachments and for the same reason Congress party too was not stressing much on CBI enquiry.
