Hyderabad: The Telangana unit of TDP and BJP have come together to ensure that the NDA Presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind secure the votes of the people’s representatives of the two parties.

For the first time after formation of Telangana State, both the parties held a joint Legislature Party meeting in the TDLP office. Talking to media, TDP president A Revanth Reddy said the it was now clear that almost all the parties would vote for Kovind in the State. The Congress party and AIMIM would not vote for Kovind.

Kishan Reddy said the leaders of the two parties had also discussed the precautions to be taken during the polling. As election agent for Kovind, he said he had explained the process of the election to the members of collegium and the precautions to be taken to ensure nothing goes wrong.
