Hyderabad: The High Court at Hyderabad refused to stay the holding of interviews for Group I posts from July 24 but made it clear that the results of the selection process would be subject to the final outcome of the writ petitions in the court.

Justice M S Ramachandra Rao gave this direction while hearing a plea by V Vijayalakshmi and others challenging the issuing of second provisional list, based on which interviews of candidates are being held. The petitioners sought cancellation of these interviews.

Appearing for the petitioners, counsel B Rachna Reddy argued that the process of selection of candidates for the interviews was done in contravention of rules and procedure. She pointed out that there was initially one list and later one more list was put out.

Those not finding place in the first list were accommodated in the second provisional list, she complained and sought cancellation of the scheduled interviews. The judge while rejecting the plea of cancellation, directed that the results would be subject to the final outcome of the cases before him.

He issued notices to TSPSC and other respondents and directed them to file counter affidavits within three weeks and adjourned the case.
