Pay tax in time; pocket prize : GHMC to citizens
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation announced that it would reward with Rs 50,000 to those who pay Property Tax, trade license fees before July 31.
​Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation announced that it would reward with Rs 50,000 to those who pay Property Tax, trade license fees before July 31.
GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy announced that the civic body would conduct a draw on August 1 every year and give awards to the people, who pay Property Tax and arrears in time. He said the cash awards would be given to the people, who pay their taxes through Mee Seva, E-Seva Centres and online.
The bumper prize is Rs 50,000, first prize will be Rs 25,000, second prize will be Rs 12,500 for two persons, third prize will be Rs 5000 to five persons, fourth prize will be Rs 2,500 to 10 persons and consolation prize of Rs 1000 to 75 people.
The Commissioner also said the Rs 2,500 cash prize would be given to 20 persons if they paid property tax through online. Rs 1000 to be given to 25 members, who pay trade license fee through online, he informed.
He said the people had to extend their cooperation to the city development by winning the cash awards.
He revealed that transaction charges would be exempted if the people pay their Property Tax through debit and credit cards through online.
