Wanaparthy: A government school teacher’s plan to impersonate his wife during the Teacher Eligibility Test was proved to be a dud when he was caught by the District Education Officer.

The incident occurred in the Pangal mandal in Wanaparthy district on Sunday. Parandamaiah, a government school teacher, was taking the exam when the officials on inspection duty found out that it was his wife who was supposed to appear for the exam.

While the deliberations were going on after he was caught by the District Education Officer, the person, however, fled the exam centre within a few minutes. The official lodged a complaint with the police, who launched a search for the accused.
