Hyderabad: Minister for Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the ongoing probe into the drug racket case will not have any impact on the Telugu film industry.
Talking to media, he said there was no question of the film industry shifting its operations out of Hyderabad. He said the State government will extend all necessary help and support to the industry. The Minister said the government would soon conduct a meeting with important film personalities to discuss necessary steps needed to curb drug menace.
Reacting to a question, the Minister said the previous regimes in the united Andhra Pradesh should be blamed for the growth of drug mafia network in Telangana.
None of the earlier governments had done anything to curb the menace, he added. He also denied that there was a split in the film industry due to drug menace. There are thousands of people working for the industry and 12 people being questioned will not affect the image of the industry.
