In order to facilitate proper control and regulation of traffic on September 2 for Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) prayers, Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy had imposed certain restrictions on movement of vehicular traffic at Mir Alam Tank Idgah and Balamrai Idgah in Secunderabad.
Hyderabad: In order to facilitate proper control and regulation of traffic on September 2 for Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) prayers, Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy had imposed certain restrictions on movement of vehicular traffic at Mir Alam Tank Idgah and Balamrai Idgah in Secunderabad.
As per the notification, all vehicular traffic proceeding towards Idgah Mir Alam Tank for prayers will be allowed via Puranapool, Kamatipura, Kishanbagh and Bahadurpura X Road from 8 AM to 9.30 AM.
However, the general traffic will not be allowed to proceed towards Idgah road and will be diverted at Bahadurpura X Road, either towards Kishanbagh or Kamatipura from 8 AM to 11 AM., i.e., from commencement of prayer till dispersal of congregation after prayers.
All vehicular traffic coming from Shivrampally, NPA towards Idgah Mir Alam Tank for prayers will be allowed till 9.30 AM. However, the general traffic proceeding towards Bahadurpura X Road will be diverted at Danamma Huts T-Junction towards Aliabad Vi: Ansari road, Jahanuma boys town school from 8 AM to 11 AM i.e., from commencement of prayer till dispersal of congregation after prayers. Cycle-rickshaws and cycles will not be allowed to proceed to the Idgah from the Idgah cross roads. Cycles and rickshaws should be parked at the open space where temporary stands will be provided.
The general traffic from Puranapool proceeding towards Siva Temple, Puranapool will be diverted towards City College till the entire congregation disperses from Idgah after prayers. Similarly, for prayers at Balamrai Idgah in Secunderabad, the general traffic coming from CTO will not be permitted towards Classic Garden Road, Idgah and will be diverted from Rajeev Gandhi Statue towards Lee Royal Palace junction and Balamrai Check post from 9 AM to 11.30 AM.
Likewise, the general traffic coming from Anna Nagar will not be permitted towards Classic Garden / Idgah and will be allowed towards Balamrai Checkpost and further from 9 AM to11.30 AM.
