According to sources, Wardannapet\'s Assistant Commissioner of Police Durgaiah Yadav, who was admitted to Yashoda Hospital on September 6 for symptoms of Swine Flu, died on Sunday.

Hyderabad: A senior police official of Warangal Rural district died of Swine Flu on Sunday.

According to sources, Wardannapet's Assistant Commissioner of Police Durgaiah Yadav, who was admitted to Yashoda Hospital on September 6 for symptoms of Swine Flu, died on Sunday.

Yadav had joined the police service as a Sub-Inspector in 1992 and had worked in Mogullapally, Regoinda, Shayampet and Kakatiya University police stations before being transferred to Hyderabad. He was promoted as Inspector of Police in 2008 and had worked in Intelligence and Vigilance Departments. Later, he was promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police and was posted as ACP of Wardhannapet Division in Warangal Commissionerate.
