Women trainee constable ends life after learning of friend's suicide

A woman trainee constable in Hyderabad committed suicide in her hostel room on Sunday morning.

The victim identified as Naveena, who hailed from Nalgonda was undergoing training at the State Police Training Academy at Gandipet.

It is learnt that Naveena was upset with the news of her friend Madhavi's suicide in Miryalguda last night. As per the reports, Madhavi chose to take the extreme step as she was forced to marry a boy arranged by her parents against her wish.

With Madhavi and Naveena being close friends since childhood, the former's death came as a shock. Naveena didn't come out of her room for the regular training the next morning and the staff found her body hanging to a ceiling fan in the room.
