Spring Fest is the annual social and cultural fest of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT-K) with a footfall of more than 50000. It is the largest of its kind in Asia to be organised by the students. 

Hyderabad: Spring Fest is the annual social and cultural fest of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT-K) with a footfall of more than 50000. It is the largest of its kind in Asia to be organised by the students.

The 59th edition of the festival is scheduled to be held between January 26 and 28.

Enthusiastic participants from about 350 major colleges of India will throng the campus to participate in the three-day celebrations of fun and frolic. Spring Festival conducts a multitude of events encompassing 11 genres and more than 130 events are contested among the best in India with a whopping cash prize of Rs 30 lakh at stake.

In 2017, the Festival successfully conducted Hitch Hike, the Nationwide Prelims for five of its flagship events- Nukkad, SF Idol, Shake a Leg, Two for a Tango and Shuffle-in October in six cities across India - Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Bhopal.

We except enthusiastic participants from across all venues this year, for the upcoming nationwide prelims of Wildfire, our western rock-band competition in December. These events are aimed at providing battlefield for the best of the best and also to afford the participants the experience of a life time.
The Institute’s social initiative – Umang: Stand up to Stigma-aims to tackle Mental Health issues head-on and promote mental well-being for all.
