UoH Scholar selected for Erasmus+ Fellowship

Vinita Teresa, Ph. D Scholar in the Department of English, School of Humanities at the University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been selected for the Erasmus+ Fellowship. She will therefore be spending, as part of this Fellowship, 1st April to 31st July 2018 at the Free University of Berlin.



##BIG-IMAGE#Hyderabad: Vinita Teresa, Ph. D Scholar in the Department of English, School of Humanities at the University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been selected for the Erasmus+ Fellowship. She will therefore be spending, as part of this Fellowship, 1st April to 31st July 2018 at the Free University of Berlin.

She is presently working on cultural representations of Varanasi/Benares with a specific focus o n "waste" in select texts.

Vinita who is in her third-year Ph.D says, “I am currently studying the representation of waste in literary writings on the city and I am keenly interested in the broader cultural and intersectional study of waste”. She further adds, “I completed my M.Phil from the Centre for Comparative Literature, UoH and hope that the insights from my research will enable some ground-level interventions in societal attitudes towards waste”.
