Hyderabad : A two day high level review meeting to evaluate measures for ensuring health and safety of Indian Haj pilgrims during pilgrimage time began here on Mondy.

Haj Committee of India Chief Executive Officer Maqsood Ahmed Khan said that the meeting was organised jointly by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, Ministry of Minorities Welfare, Government of India, CDC and WHO and was attended by senior officials of concerned departments.

Meanwhile, Telangana State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor made a representation with Regional Passport Officer Dr. E. Vishnuvardhan Reddy seeking early issue of passports to the prospecting Haj Applicants for Haj 2018. The RPO assured to issue the passports to the applicants immediately.
