It will be KCR family Vs People of Telangana in 2019: Uttam
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has predicted a landslide victory Congress party in 2019 elections.
Jadcherla : Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has predicted a landslide victory Congress party in 2019 elections.
Addressing a massive public meeting "Jadcherla Jana Garjana" on Wednesday evening, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the next elections would be fought between "KCR family Vs people of Telangana". He said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao's every move went against the people of Telangana. "It took more than 60 years for the people of Telangana to achieve statehood. But KCR shattered the real dream of Telangana in less than one term. One after the other, TRS Government cheated all sections of the society and now it is creating a wrong impression that it has resolved all problems. KCR is under-estimating the power of common people and apparently feels that he could cheat them all the time," he said.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the next elections would not be between political parties. "In 2019, people of Telangana themselves will fight against KCR family. Those who love Telangana will support Congress and those who want KCR's dictatorial rule to continue will go with TRS," he said.
The TPCC chief said that the Congress party would do a repeat of 1989 and 2004 in 2019. "It will be a clean sweep for Congress party in 2019. People will punish TRS at each and every booth across Telangana State. Over 30 lakh jobless youth, who were ignored by TRS Govt, will ensure that all TRS leaders become jobless. Lakhs of poor people who were denied promised double bed room houses will make sure that KCR family is evicted from Pragathi Bhavan. Students, who waited endlessly for Fee Reimbursement, will not let KCR cheat them and their parents again," he said. Stating that TRS regime has proved to be a curse for agriculture sector, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the farmers would ignore TRS exactly the same way as it ignored them while in power.
"Results of Gujarat elections have shown that the Congress party was on its way back to power. People want to see Rahul Gandhi as the next Prime Minister of India and therefore, both BJP and TRS are bound to lose power at the Centre and State. All Congress workers should launch an aggressive door-to-door campaign to convey party's message while exposing the failures of TRS Govt," Uttam Kumar Reddy said. "Congress party will ensure that the benefits of Telangana reaches all four crore people and not just four members of KCR family," he said.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said real tributes to Telangana’s martyrs could be paid only by throwing TRS out of power in next elections. He said bringing Congress party to power in Telangana would be the best gift for ex-president of Congress party Sonia Gandhi who granted statehood despite huge political setbacks.
Earlier, AICC Telangana Incharge Secretary R.C. Khuntia gave a call for 'TRS Hatao, Telangana Ko Bachao' and said that the Telangana State was not formed for the benefit of only KCR family.
Congress senior leaders including TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, ex-Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy, Leader of Opposition in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, legislators D.K. Aruna, G. Chinna Reddy, A. Sampath Kumar, A. Revanth Reddy, Dr. Mallu Ravi and Damodar Reddy also addressed the meeting.
