Compartment of Rayalaseema express derails in Nizamabad, none injured

A compartment of Rayalaseema Express derailed on Saturday morning but no casualties were reported in the incident.

The mishap took place near Sirnapally railway station in Nizamabad district.

It is learned that the wheels of the three A/C compartment jumped the racks as the train neared Sirnapally railway station and the bogey derailed.

According to the South Central Railway officials, the rail traffic on the single line between Hyderabad and Nizamabad was disrupted.

While no one was injured, authorities are making efforts on a war footing to restore the traffic.

Recently, the train running between Tirupathi and Hyderabad was extended to Nizamabad.
