Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday inaugurated a 50-bed Community Health Centre at Toopran in Medak district. He was on a brief visit to his home constituency Gajwel. The Chief Minister, who arrived at the venue by Pragathi Patham bus by road, showered sops to Toopran Gram Panchayat falling under his constituency.

Gajwel: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday inaugurated a 50-bed Community Health Centre at Toopran in Medak district. He was on a brief visit to his home constituency Gajwel. The Chief Minister, who arrived at the venue by Pragathi Patham bus by road, showered sops to Toopran Gram Panchayat falling under his constituency. After unveiling the plaque to mark the inauguration of the Community Health Centre, the Chief Minister opened the hospital officially and inspected all wards and facilities for 20 minutes in the centre which was built at a cost of Rs 11 crore.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister showered sops on Toopran by announcing several sanctions including Rs 5 crore for CC roads and drainage works, Government Degree College, 500 double-bedroom houses, Shaadikhana at a cost of Rs 20 lakh, compound wall for Kabaristan at a cost of Rs 15 lakh and a crematorium and beautification of Pedda Cheruvu in the town. He also said that community centres at all six mandal headquarters in Gajwel constituency including Toopran would be constructed with an expenditure of Rs 1 crore each.

Later, the Chief Minister visited his constituency headquarters Gajwel Nagar Panchayat and inspected the ongoing construction works for integrated veg and non-veg market, 100- bedded area hospital which is going to be thrown open soon at the heart of the town and an auditorium and the construction works of 1,200 double-bedroom houses at Sangapur. The officials including Siddipet Collector P Venkatram Reddy and GADA officer Hanumantha Rao apprised the Chief Minister of the model village of double-bedroom houses with photo gallery and educational hub and MLA’s camp office in the town while Health Minister Laxma Reddy and Deputy Speaker Padma Devendar Reddy and Gajwel Municipal Chairman G Bhaskar accompanied.

On his way to Gajwel, Chandrashekar Rao visited Nachagiri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Nacharam of Wargal mandal and examined the master plan for the development of the temple. He also announced that he would soon undertake two-day ‘constituency tour’ to take stock of the developmental programmes going on there. Later, the Chief Minister headed to Nalgonda District cancelling his visit to Markuk mandal headquarters.

The programme was attended by Medak MP K Prabhakar Reddy, MLA Babu Mohan, MLCs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Faruq Hussain and Pathuri Sudhakar, State Road Development Corporation Chairman T Narsa Reddy, State Food Corporation Chairman Election Reddy, State Housing Corporation Chairman Bhumi Reddy, Toopran Sarpanch Shivvamma Srisailam Goud and other public representatives.
