Octopus commandos get training in disaster management

Hyderabad: A 20-member team of Octopus commandos equipped with high-end weapons were deployed at the Khairatabad junction on Monday morning.

According to officials, the deployment was part of the exercise to train Octopus commandos disaster management in dense city pockets. “The commandos with modern equipment were made to get aware of the scenarios in the public place.

This would provide them confidence to work in real time,” said Vijay Kumar, ACP, Punjagutta. The drill was conducted between 10 am to 12 noon much to the surprise of the public at the Khairatabad junction.
