Hyderabad : Principal Secretary Municipal Administration Arvind Kumar said that the Telangana Government will soon start a two week training course for veterinary graduates of the state in sterilization of stray dogs. The proposed training programme will be conducted in the premises of MCHRD building.

At a meeting with the members of the Blue Cross Society, Arvind Kumar said that the government will take firm steps to prevent killing of stray dogs in all municipalities of the state. Government is also considering to hire veterinary doctors and para veterinary staff for all the urban local bodies in the state and impart training to them on conduct of anti birth control surgeries and vaccination of dogs.

Blue Cross Society founder Amala Akkineni said that their organisation would work in close cooperation with the state government towards training the veterinary graduates. It was also discussed that instructions shall be issued to all municipal commissioners that indiscriminate killing of dogs shall not take place.

Municipal Administration Director Dr. T K Sridevi and other officials attended the meeting.
