The 4th International Yoga Day was celebrated in all centres across Gadwal, Nagarkurnool, and Wanaparthy and Mahabubnagar districts on Thursday.  

Mahbubnagar: The 4th International Yoga Day was celebrated in all centres across Gadwal, Nagarkurnool, and Wanaparthy and Mahabubnagar districts on Thursday.

In Gadwal district, Bhandari Bhaskar, Zillah Parishad chairman of united Mahabubnagar district along with boys and girls of various schools took part in the Yoga celebrations at Gadwal Indoor stadium. The ZP chairman also did some asanas along with students. The Yoga Day programme was organized by district Health department of Gadwal in coordination with Telangana Ayush department.

During the programme Senior Yoga instructors explained the importance of each yoga posture and its significance in keeping the body healthy. Thousands of students and Yoga lovers voluntarily took part in the programme and displayed Yoga asanas.

While talking on the occasion Bhandari Bhaskar said, “Health is wealth and to keep ourselves fit and away from diseases, Yoga is one of the cheapest and best natural remedy. Each and every one of us must make it a habit to do yoga at least for one hour a day.

If we can really do this then it is not too far to achieve a healthy India.” The students from BC Hostel from Dharur mandal displayed different Yoga Asanas which attracted the attention of the audiences.

In Nagarkurnool district, Jupally Krishna Rao, inaugurated the 4th International Yoga Day celebrations by lighting the lamps and later participated in the Yoga Asanas at the Yoga camp in Kollapur mandal.

In Mahabubnagar district, Krishna Swamy of Vivekananda Pracharak Trust organised the Yoga Day celebrations at Laxmi Venkateshwara Shiva Sai Ayyapa temple in Kosgi mandal.

On the occasion, leading spiritual leader Kura Ragotam of Shiridi Sai baba Temple along with G. Hanumanthu, Mandal Revenue Officer and Venugapal Mandal Education officer of Kosgi mandal took part in the yoga programme. They displayed Yoga postures along with hundreds of school children.
