The BJP top brass tore into the TRS government accusing it of failing to fulfil aspirations of Telangana public and said the state now was ranked second in corruption in the country
Warangal/Parkal: The BJP top brass tore into the TRS government accusing it of failing to fulfil aspirations of Telangana public and said the state now was ranked second in corruption in the country.
The party leaders addressed an impressive gathering at Kakatiya Degree College grounds in Hanamkonda where a public meeting was held on Thursday marking the arrival of BJP Jana Chaitanya Yatra led by the party state unit president K Laxman into Warangal Urban district.
Besides, Laxman, the party national general secretaries P Muralidhar Rao, V Ram Madhav and P Sekhar Rao, the party state vice president M Dharma Rao, district president Rao Padma and others addressed the public. Ram Madhav stated that BJP with little presence in many states in the country came to power and the same would happen in Telangana. Congress or any other party has no strength to trounce the TRS but only the BJP could do so.
Telangana was moving backwards in terms of literacy and skilled manpower. If the desire of the PM Narendra Modi who wanted the state to be part of Future India of 2022 mission, entire cadre of the party should work to defeat TRS in 2019 elections, he said. Many TRS leaders were openly claiming that taking commissions was the order of the day, he said. Laxman accused the TRS government of failing on all fronts.
He said the CM used to say that there would no farmers’ suicides in Telangana but hundreds of farmers ended their lives during the past four years. The government also undermined Dalit welfare and Sircilla incident was an example. The funds sanctioned by Centre were being misused by the state leading to slow development, he noted.
Muralidhar Rao said TRS regime had brought back feudal and family rule in Telangana and described Mission Bhagiratha as a big scam. ‘BJP is the future of India as well as Telangana’ he said hoping that the BJP would form government in Telangana At a public meeting earlier at Parkal, Union Commerce Minister K Suresh Prabhu promised that the BJP government would ensure special development package to Telangana if the party was voted to power in the state. He listed out many measures taken by centre for Telangana development.
Even after formation of separate Telangana public in the state still facing problems. Youth in Telangana were lacking opportunities to progress. If BJP comes to power in Telangana efforts would be made to ensure employment generation, the minister said.
